Graphic Artist / Artistic Director

As a freelance Graphic Designer and Artistic Director at D4GP, I help good people make great things happen. Experience in Adobe Creative Suite and a keen eye for marketing and branding help define me as an coveted asset on every endeavour.

For more than a decade I have been working as a freelance Graphic Designer. Starting in a small storefront on Bedford Ave. in trendy Williamsburg, Brooklyn I quickly built my up clientele. After just a of couple years I was able to acquire a much larger studio just a few blocks away near McCarren Park. I added employees and additional desk-space as business flourished. Working for mainly independent labels, our team was involved in all aspects of branding and marketing. We created websites, album art, email campaigns and more. In addition, we handled manufacturing of CDs, Vinyl Records, T-Shirts, Posters, Fliers, Stickers and anything else needed. I also established an officially credited internship program through NYU’s Clive Davis School of Music. Students helped to add social media services for our clients and learned about the business.

Previously, I became the on-site manager for Engine Room Audio at it’s original location on Canal Street in Chinatown. A boutique duplication house and multi-room production facility, my duties included opening the shop, managing the day-to-day activities, scheduling projects and customer relations. As the in-house graphic designer, I created artwork for countless album packages over my tenure.

Going even further back, I joined the sales team at Sam Ash Music when I first moved to New York City in 1991. Over a number of years I went from Pro Audio sales at the flagship store in Manhattan to Department Head of Forest Hills, Queens.

I am also a piano player and enjoy exploring the world with my girlfriend of 15 years Lauren, our 2 year old son Alden and dog Ella.  We currently live in New York’s East Village.  MIKO@D4GP.COM
